Hey guys, wake up, here comes some more humans

Hmm, seems like nice family fun, but I feel like someone is watching us.
Nothing better than a python in a food bowl
I wonder what they feel like?

Snake pals

Here you go Ry
 yea, this is pretty cool
OK, I'll try it.  Seems to be fun and safe
Hey Mister, where do you think you're going?

Hey Mom and Dad

 Sure, these guys are fun

Two heads are better than one

Hey this guy only has one head, how bogus

Touring Clara Bartons house

which was also the first Red Cross office ever
I like an office with its own cow
 room where she had visitors
 the office doors

Red Cross office equipment

Computer
Multi line phone (OK, single line phone)
 Voice mail
 copier and toner

In the upper floor

The red cross was the sign that help is inside.

 Down stairs its tea time
Wow, even this place has a gift shop

Seems the trolly from DC

to the CB house is no longer running over this tressel.  Maybe we can hitch a ride at the DC Trolly Museum.

The ride was sort of slow but fun

It did not go near as fast as the 87 Ardmore when we used to race the cars down Rt. 30.

so where is the steering wheel anyway?
It was cool he was dressed in the uniform back in the day.  It would have been more fun if we had to drop 10 cents in the box to ride.

We were much too late

to ride.  Like years too late, so we did a photo instead.

Looks like fun

What's this?

Near the trolly museum stands this

green cell phone tower.

Booth vs Lincoln

There was no loan gun man theory here.  John W had lots of help.

Mrs. Surratt brought supplies from DC to here for Booth.  She was later hung for her efforts.

There were two guns brought.  One for John and one for the guy with him, David Herold.  Booth needed one hand to ride a horse and one hand for whisky for the leg pain, so his gun stayed here.
They hid the gun in the wall, but later gave it to the police so they would not be hung.

Booth

knew Dr. Mudd.  His farm was well off the escape route path.

this is the sofa where Mudd set Booth's leg.  Booth rested several hours up stairs before leaving.

My dad would always say....

When, or if, I ever got in trouble.  If you do (what ever), your name will be Mudd.
This origional tomb stone is protected at the Mudd Farm.
and this stone is in the cemetary now.

Booth must

have stopped here for supper.  I know we did.

Final leg

He needed to cross the Potomac to make his way to Richmond

He waited a good while for a boat
Not sure why he did not just take the toll bridge
He died near Fort A.P. Hill
