Backing up to the market

going green, or in this case red, we switch to a more fuel efficient model.
getting some supplies, which we ended up feeding to the cows.

Thanksgiving

Driving trucks on a coffe table is aways big fun

Do you want to trade places with me?
Backing a train down the tracks
The train comes to a sudden and unexpected stop to check out a football play.

All done but the dishes

Seems Auntie M will do anything to get out of doing dishes.
Just kidding.  Everything was great !

Hey, this wishbone is slipperly.  Let's try again.
                         The winner!                                                                          The good sport.

Later that night

This train set from the neighbor's yard sale is still a hit.
Saying hi to Auntie Sue Sue and Uncle Doug

Hagerstown, MD

It was George Washington's vision to build a canal from DC, to Pittsburgh, and into Ohio, thus the name for the C&O canal.  It was never completed and thanks to trains, the canal became obsolete well before it made it out of Maryland.

A moment to reflect

The building is now, much to my surprise, a gift shop.

hey, nice shot Nana.  I would be even more impressed with the shot if you knew how you did it.
I guess that Nana, and not I ......
                                               Win the Ansel Adams award.

Who would pay for this

I am not sure how the canal would ever pay for itself, but it was impressive.
In just about a 10 minute walk, the barge would go over a river
Under a train track.  The elevator would lift the track.
                                          Get past the duck gang
And go through lock 44 (one of over 80)

We both

attempt some artsy shots before we leave.

Pumpkins

Nothing better than a pumpkin patch visit before a birthday party.  These small ones were only good for counting.  Its time to find some big ones.

Done, and Done
If you look closely, you can see the bus driver.
 Hang on to your hats.
Only Logan and Nana could run through this tunnel.

Time to check out and head home

We take a minute to check out this rock quarry.
My pick up is still a favored play area.  For a short while I was afraid the party would be held here.
Time to dig, and drive over speed bumps.

Speed bumps

Logan does a count to ensure there are 10 speed bumps

Seems they can only be used one time.
 Time to run
You will have to check out Tracy's blog for birthday fun.  However the hungry hippo game was the smash hit of all the gifts.  Except for maybe the cool fire truck with its own missile launcher.

Its finally here

Welcome to my Welcome party

This video was shot well before cake and ice cream.  Many wished for just a small portion of his energy.  Check it out HERE.

Sat fun

The farm tour was not as advertised, but we still managed to have some fun.

 Going on a hay ride.

Sunday Fun

To do something different, we go to Crockett Park to check out the play area.  But we spent 98% of the time digging roads and sidewalks in the volleyball court.

We tossed rocks in the lake and wished we could rent a boat.  Maybe next year.

We voted for carrousel over sweet frog for our appetizer.  Guess what we did when we got home?
Yep, went outside with our diggers.

It was a nice day

so we went here

The show started right on time.

There were about 10 planes in all.  Lots of tricks, skill stuff but mostly fun stuff.  Thus guy does a wheelie.
