What a difference

a day makes.  Yesterday, nice and semi warm

The weatherman said, Danger Will Robinson, bad storms are coming your way.  So I raced to the store to stock up like we are supposed to do.

Hmm,  seems the forecast was not 100% accurate.  Oh well, at least I don't have to shop for bread and toilet paper for about a year.  However, I did get a shot of my first snow man, or maybe snow baby of the season.

We looked for

the protest folks

but none were around, so we took a walk instead.
The trees are not turning yet, but we did manage to see some wild life flying by.

While in York, We traded in

our car for these two bikes.

We then took an interesting tour of the Harley factory
Before we left with our new bikes, one of us thought they could text and drive at the same time.  Lucky for us, we were able to trade the bikes back in for our car.  Much safer that way.

It did not come as a big surprise

that there is a small steel company across the street

back in the day, they filled the balls up with sand or water to add weight

My hero's from yesteryear

Just so you don't think

we have gone back to our weight lifting days..
We also made another stop

 with a tastier souvineer

We went to Reading Pa

but not to buy the railroad.
I love the smell of Nitromethane in the morning.

Warming up the car in the pit.
Sadly we left our gas masks at home.
 First two starting the engines.

Cool temps

with no sun and cool temps, there were several new speed and Elapsted Time (ET) records.  The top speed of the day was just over 324 miles per hour.

I am still impressed that they rebuild the engine after every under 4 second race.
Here comes the body of this funny car.
Debbie actually has name reconigition of a few races, to include Tim Wilkerson.  Here he is, just after his loss.

Rain

We did not get to see the entire event due to rain, so we went to plan B.  At least we could take photos of these vehicles with out worry of blur.

Two important questions

One, which elevation is really correct?

Two, hey Mr. Tree, have you seen Ry and Jo?
