How to have the best fun

With Chocolate and a hammer.  CLICK HERE to find out how.

I guess I will call this the Pre Christmas Edition

If you do nothing else, check out the ad in the lower left of the paper.
We are all super happy to see each other.
 Well, at least Josie
and Ryley are happy to see us.
Even Bones was happy to get a lesson in adding oil to the car.

Let the fun begin

While Josie had a pizza party with Mom and Nana
 the guys shot some arrows
The next day at Gig harbor, we found this strange tree.  Does anyone know what type of tree it is, other than a live one that is.  CLICK HERE for a Gig Harbor video.
Little fishy in a brook, Dougie catch them with a hook.  Momma fry them in a pan, Dougie eat them like a man.   OK, maybe not, but we did take photos and movies.  We did not harm any of the fish, but they seemed determined to harm themselves.  This was a great find as I expected this activity to be complete months ago.

Fish and More

We were surprised to see Salmon this time of year.  Yes they were spawning and swinging up stream to complete their life cycle.  CLICK HERE to see a video Doug took.

Who would guess reading a sign would be so photo worthy?  Must be time to head back home.
We woke to cold temps each day,  brrr
 Best movie seats ever.

Vashon Island

was just a short ferry ride away.
 Land Ho !
 After a great tasting brunch
the check was delivered in a cigar box, in a smoke free restaurant.

More island fun

It would be easy to set up a logging operation here.

Doug once again tests his water proof video camera.
We did not expect to see Mt. Rainier this trip, but saw it several days.

Just before we head home

Josie relaxes with a video game, or at least tries to relax.

 Ry gets a hair cut
On the way home, our taxi drivers permit us to stop for some milk and a free cookie.
        We had a great time.
